Together with Dr. Simon Kohl (Forschungszentrum Jülich & Charité Berlin) and Dr. Lars Masanneck (Uniklinik Düsseldorf) we have launched a special issue on Digital Medicine in Neurology and Psychiatry - Chances and Challenges for Mobile Scalable Monitoring and Intervention at Frontiers in Psychiatry.
We welcome a broad range of submissions, including
- applications that use generative AI for communication purposes (e.g., large language models),
- digital monitoring and deep phenotyping, internet- and mobile-based interventions,
- sensor-based diagnostic procedures,
- participatory research aiming for a better understanding of specific patient needs
, and several other topics.
Further, one specific focus is on children and adolescents. We invite submissions that explore digital health applications designed for this young demographic, seeking insights into innovative solutions that can enhance their medical care through technology.
